AmerenUE has filed a request with the Missouri Public Service Commission for a 12.1 percent electric rate increase.
This proposed price increase would amount to less than $9 per month, or less than 30 cents per day, per household.
The request would provide $251 million in added annual revenue throughout the company’s 24,000-square-mile service area. UE is requesting this price increase so that we have the funds to continue to improve reliability, provide for our region’s future energy needs and protect the environment. As responsible stewards of our business, we will continue to make the best use of every UE asset in order to provide our customers with reliable, clean energy.
The Missouri Public Service Commission staff will review our proposal thoroughly, and during the review process the public will have the opportunity to comment. See rate process.
