	Ameren Illinois Utilities’ New Electric and Natural Gas Delivery Rates
The Ameren Illinois Utilities do not own power plants or natural gas production facilities. Instead, we buy electricity and natural gas from multiple suppliers in the energy market, passing that cost—dollar for dollar—to our customers. So, think of the Ameren Illinois Utilities as your delivery service, moving electricity and natural gas to your door.    Approximately, 70 to 75 percent of your bill is the charges we collect on behalf of suppliers. The remaining 20 to 25 percent of your bill represents the cost of delivering the electricity and natural gas. The delivery charges are regulated and approved by the Illinois Commerce Commission. Delivery service charges provide the revenue for us to provide customer service to you and build, maintain and improve reliability—keeping the lights on and the gas flowing.    The Ameren Illinois Utilities are indifferent to where you purchase your electricity or natural gas. We will deliver your energy to your home or business. We encourage our customers to explore all of their supply options.
