Five mid-Missouri charities each received a check for $4,000 as a result of AmerenUE’s Central Ozarks Division employees meeting their goal of having no lost workday accidents in 2006.
The recipients included: Hope House of Lake Ozark; the Salvation Army of Jefferson City; Central Missouri Food Bank, which is based in Columbia and serves 33 Missouri counties; Dental, Eye and Shoe Program based in Jefferson City; and the Greater Rolla Area Charitable Enterprise (GRACE). Recipients were chosen by a vote of the employees, and checks were presented at the division’s “Charity Challenge” safety celebration.
