AmerenUE donated the vehicle as part of a long-standing policy of donating surplus vehicles and other equipment to non-profit organizations when they are retired from service but are still useable. OATS, Inc., which provides transportation services for senior citizens, plans to use the vehicle for cases in which a client has special transportation needs that require individual attention. The vehicle was formerly used by AmerenCIPS Energy Delivery personnel at the Maryville, Ill., Operating Center.
